Hi Friends! So things have been busy lately. Lots of working and cleaning and well, you know, the normal stuff. I’ve been reading lots lately too, which only reminds me that I really need to wear my glasses while I’m reading. Holy headaches!
The other day while driving to work, there was the most gorgeous sunrise. I couldn’t help but feel so peaceful and thankful. Even if it WAS super duper early and even if I was totally exhausted.
I also started working on my fitness this week. [pausing for the out of control laughter that is sure to follow that statement.] The baby and I took some long walks this week. And I generally ended my day…playing Just Dance. Okay. Laugh all you want!
Uh, what’s wrong with this picture? Is that a sign that we put our tree up too early? And the worst part? When I tried to replace the burnt out bulb, the entire strand blew (fireworks and all)! Oh, and the even worse part…there are no white lights left in Charlotte. I’m not kidding you. I’m debating adding the multicolored lights I have hanging out in the garage and making it trippy tree. I don’t think Mr. Husband would
allow me like that very much.
Mr. Husband and I went on a date to the mall last night to do some
very cheap Christmas shopping. He couldn’t resist posing with the Biebs. [i’m a little proud to say that i originally wrote beibs which is the incorrect abbreviation of his name.]
Oh, and a candy date! Mr. Husband made the mistake of pointing out a candy store in the mall. Uh, my MECCA! Mr. Husband’s tooth isn’t as sweet as mine. Wait, who are we kidding? No one’s tooth is as sweet as mine. We spent nearly thirty minutes wandering the tiny store and stressing over our choices. The results? A grasshopper pie sucker for me and a chunky bar for Mr. Husband. [i’d never heard of it!]
George made the mistake of snuggling up next to me this morning
and waking me up by poking me in the face with his ever sharp nails. While snuggling, I noticed that he needed a bath. Enter Mr. Husband and a really pissed off cat. Poor, poor George. He spent the rest of the morning hiding in the “cat room.”
And alas, we FINALLY have a curtain covering our front door side window. Mr. Husband was kind enough to hammer in the hardware for me
and wake our sleeping neighbors because of our crappy paper thin walls. I bought the curtain for super cheap, but it was too long. So I cut it and hot glued it because the dog ate my bottle of liquid stitch and voila!
I have lots on the docket, so be sure to stay tuned! My most favorite? Sharing my treasures from the great blogger ornament swap! So fun! :)
