Oh, hello friends. Dear, dear friends. I am so happy to see you and be among your company again. On my couch. In my living room. With a cup of coffee and a sleeping puppy. And Christmas music playing. And..and..and…
Let’s just put it this way, I’ve never been so thankful to pull into my own driveway as I was last night. Happy Thanksgiving?
I think it’s really important for me to remind myself of the things I’m most thankful for.
-I’m thankful that my husband and I have an unbreakable bond. That at the end of the day, no matter what that day brought, we are deep in love.
-My poorly behaved, adorably sweet, overly social puppy dog. As frustrating as she may be, she brings me so much joy.
-My cat when he snuggles into me at night. Not so much when he pisses on my floor…every day.
-George the cat. He’s funny.
-My wonderful job. The amazing family I nanny for and the kids I have the pleasure of watching grow every single day. Seriously. Love love.
– Best friends. All kinds and all over the place. Don’t know what I’d do without any of them.
-My family. Especially for their twitter support through The Holiday. Even if they were all together states away enjoying the company of Mickey Mouse and Shamu.
– Our little life here in Charlotte. We are so happy here. And that’s all the Lord’s doing. Because we were blinded by all that “sucked” when we first got here, our house included. And as crappy as our house might be, it’s home. Home. Home sweet home.
-Education and talents. I’m so thankful that I was given four years of college and that Husband has been working so hard to obtain his masters degree. I’m so happy that he’s been given the opportunity to actually coach, and I’m so grateful for my ability to write. I just need to do it. I’m also thankful for this little blog.
– Faith and the Big Guy. He watches out for us and puts us exactly where we should be and gives us the tools we need to survive every situation thrown at us.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are gearing up for a fun fun Christmas.
…I’ll be HOME for Christmas. And I couldn’t be happier.
