Sitting Pretty

Ugh, you guys.  I’ve been so sick this entire week.  First it was a chest cold that wouldn’t seem to lift then yesterday morning I woke up at the butt crack of dawn vomiting.  [no guys, I’m not pregnant.]  Unfortunately, because we’re so low staffed for the summer at work and two of the managers were out of town, there was no calling in sick for me this week.  I felt like death a good portion of the day yesterday although that could have been entirely contributed to the absolute lack of sleep I’d gotten the night before.  Luckily though, by the end of the day I was feeling way more like myself.  I was super thankful because I’d been looking forward to this all week!

I’ve been dying to go to Artini’s since Miss Kate opened right next to the shop about 2 months ago!  The second I finally had a night off, I bought my seat and was raring to go!

Meet Megs, my awesome co-worker and friend!  We had such a blast painting together.  Oh, another thing?  Kate, the owner, is so great.  She’s known that I’ve been dying to get by for so long and that I wanted to paint this bird.  The bird was NOT scheduled for last night, but she surprised us when we got there and said she would teach both paintings!  How cool is she?  Only like the coolest, duh!

This was the other painting for the night.  Beautiful Lake Vogel, which I learned is not an actual place in Atlanta only after trying to convince someone else that it was.

We had a blast.  And it was exactly what I needed.  Sometimes I forget to just stop and breathe and have some fun.  I hope you have an awesome weekend.  Come by and see me at the shop, I’ll be there til 10!
